マレーシア・サラワク大学からのご来訪がありました　Visitors from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak

 5月28日（土）、宇都宮大学と大学間交流協定を締結している、マレーシア国のマレーシア・サラワク大学（サラワク大学） から、Prof Dr Hj Ahmad Hata bin Rasit副学長とProf Dr Asri bin Said医学部長が、宇都宮大学に来訪されました。コロナ禍以降、海外からは初めてのご来賓となります。
 ハタ副学長は、サラワク大学の留学や海外研修を始めとする国際交流を担当されています。

 ハタ副学長とアスリ医学部長は、吉澤史昭理事（学務・社会共創担当）、海外英語研修（サラワク大学）を担当する農学部の大久保達弘教授、国際学部の出羽尚准教授、また、マレーシアからの留学生とサラワク大学への交換留学予定の学生計10名と面会されました。
 両大学の概要や留学生交流、宇都宮大学での留学生の学生生活について意見交換したのち、放送大学、峰ヶ丘講堂、フランス式庭園などを見学されました。

※サラワク大学英語研修について
 毎年、２～３月の春休み期間中に、語学と文化交流を目的としたサラワク大学での英語研修を行っています。2021年度はオンライン英語研修を開催しました。2022年度も２～３月に開催予定です。修了すると、宇都宮大学の各学部の海外研修を必要とする専門科目や自由科目の卒業単位になります。

2022年度参加者募集は、秋から行う予定です。

On May 28, Prof Dr Hj Ahmad Hata bin Rasit, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Prof Dr Asri bin Said, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) , with which Utsunomiya University has concluded an inter-university exchange agreement, visited Utsunomiya University. Under the current situation with coronavirus (COVID-19), This is the first guest from overseas.
Prof Dr Hata is in charge of international exchange, including study abroad and overseas training programs at UNIMAS.

They met with Executive Director and Vice-President (Student Affairs and Social Co-creation) Professor YOSHIZAWA Fumiaki , Professor OHKUBO Tatsuhiro (School of Agriculture) and Associate Professor IZUHA Takashi (School of International Studies) who are in charge of overseas English training with UNIMAS, as well as 10 students from Malaysia and students scheduled for exchange to UNIMAS. The meeting included an overview of both universities, Utsunomiya University and UNIMAS, exchange of international students, and students life of Malaysian students at Utsunomiya University. After the meeting, the guests toured the Open University of Japan, Minegaoka Auditorium, and the French-style garden.

About the English-Language Program at UNIMAS
Every year, during the spring break (February to March), English language training at UNIMAS is held for the purpose of language and cultural exchange. The program is scheduled to be held in February and March in FY2022. Upon completion of the program, students will receive graduation credits for specialized courses and free courses that require overseas training at each department of Utsunomiya University.

Recruitment of participants for the FY2022 program is scheduled to begin in the fall.
